Shoot the Corner - 1st time starter by Swing Till Dawn, steady works with most recent move at Hollypark on the 11th, trainer Gallagher tabs Pincay for debut, needs prompt start and clean trip from rail post. Value Play -- Touch of Cool
2nd Race -- Magdeleine Robin - Outrun in Fairplex stakes in last, won at higher level at mile at Del Mar before that, freshened since raced, 5-for-14 lifetime, winning rider Nakatani returns on Peterson trainee. Miguella - Tracked and 4th at Fresno in last, tracked and second at Bay Meadows before that, in the quinella 11 of 17 Hollypark starts with 4 wins and 8 of 9 at this distance with 3 victories, Ramsammy now. Value Play -- Icksnay
3rd Race -- Blench - Raced between foes and just missed when 2nd by a nose in game effort down the hill at Anita in last, second sprinting before that, returns to main now, P. Val. back. Leaning Tower - 1st time starter by Theatrical, solid works with bullet drill on the tab, draws good post, trainer Ellis tabs McCarron for debut. Value Play -- Oso Cielo
4th Race -- Bodyguard - Tightened up with even run down the hill at Anita in last, won at a mile over this course last year, competitive at this level, Desormeaux returns on Drysdale trainee, must overcome outside post. Champagne Prince - Lacked room when 4th in restricted Anita grass stakes in last, won on Del Mar sod before that, in the quinella in all three starts at this distance with a pair of victories, winning rider Gomez again. Value Play -- Alert To Go
5th Race -- Ta Ta Be True - 4-wide 3rd in needed outing in last, runner up in half of most recent 6 outings, sharp 7-panel work since raced following pair of bullet drills before that, P. Val. returns, should be tighter now. Retained - Speed and outkicked when 2nd at a mile in last, outrun in comeback effort before that, reunites with Stevens now, makes third start since return. Value Play -- Squall Linda
6th Race -- Flyaway Jack - 3rd in Bay Meadows sprint in last, in the quinella in prior five outings with 4 victories, bred to like lawn, draws inner post here, has a good chance to sit right behind speed and could trip out for victory. Crusading Pro - Won routing on Bay Meadows lawn in last, second before that, finished 2nd in only start at this trip and course three races back, in the quinella 7 of 10 lifetime starts with a pair of wins, fits here. Value Play -- Salben
7th Race -- Freespool - Returns to races with sizzling works, trio of bullet drills from most recent five moves, 2-for-3 at Hollypark, 2-for-5 at this distance and 4-for-9 lifetime, McCarron returns on West trainee, proven winner off the shelf. Your Halo - Didn't fire down the hill at Anita in last, second in restricted Del Mar stakes before that, won prior trio of outings, 2-for-3 at Hollypark, draws rail here, Gomez stays on Mitchell trainee. Value Play -- Early Pioneer
8th Race -- Roberto's Viz - No rally while 4th splitting the field in last, second before that, 3rd at Fairplex three races back, adds blinkers with sharp gate drill since raced, Gomez takes over on Garcia trainee, good spot for diploma action. First Journey - 1st time starter by Seattle Slew offspring, solid works for this level with swift pair of recent drills, draws good post, well placed, Pincay for debut, First Journey may be maiden breaker. Value Play -- Political Agenda
