Julia M. Berry

Julia M. Berry, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born May 20, 1919, in Pratt, Kan. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker, a World War II Army nurse, a member of the Junior ORTC and a former member of St. Bridget's Altar Society and Union Pacific Railroad Old Timers Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Pattie Berry of Las Vegas; and one sister, Clydena Betts of Houston.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday with a 6 p.m. service at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Lung Association, 3375 Glen Ave., No. 7, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

James A. Bunyea

James A. Bunyea, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A railroad conductor, he was born July 23, 1915, in Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; one daughter, Jacqueline Price of Phoenix; one son, James N. Bunyea of Schaumburg, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-2 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Woodrow 'Woody' Coleman

Woodrow 'Woody' Coleman, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 18, 1925, in Dermott, Ark. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired airline skycap.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta; four daughters, Jacqueline Mondy, Evelyn McKinnie and Daphne Smith, all of Las Vegas, and Saverne Smith of Los Angeles; two sons, Darrell Smith and Scott Cheatham, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

The family suggests donations to the Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 4400 W. Oakey Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102.

Rebecca Ann Conrad

Rebecca Ann Conrad, 48, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Nov. 25, 1950, in Colton, Calif. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph A.; two sons, Craig N. Kersey and Kevin C. Kersey, both of Henderson; four daughters, Julie R. Cooke of Las Vegas, Jennifer L. Kersey and Jaclyn N. Conrad, both of Henderson, and Jennifer R. Conrad of San Diego; her father, William Mallette of Oregon, Ill.; one brother, David Mallette of Beaverton, Ore.; two sisters, Terry Lancaster of Duvall, Wash., and Cynthia Price of Bend, Ore.; and four grandchildren.

Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Hazzie B. Eagle Jr.

Hazzie B. Eagle Jr., 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Rock Springs, Wyo. A resident for five years, he was a supply center supervisor, an Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Masons and Bremerton Yacht Club.

He is survived by his wife, Simone; two sons, Paul Eagle and John Eagle, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Bonnie Tibbetts and Anita Nault, both of Shelton, Wash.; three brothers, Wentz Eagle of Shelton, Don Eagle of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Gerald Eagle of Bremerton, Wash.

Nicheside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Margaret Mary Edwards

Margaret Mary Edwards, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born June 10, 1914. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, George Russell; one son, Robert Hazell of Moorpark, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Tina Marie Lambert of Houston; one sister, Donata Richter of Denver; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Floyd Lester Gendre

Floyd Lester Gendre, 83, of Los Lunas, N.M., died Friday in Los Lunas. He was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Lacelde, Kan. A former Las Vegas resident, he retired as an employee of the Union Pacific Railroad after 31 years, was an avid gardener, past master of Onaga, Kan., Lodge AF&AM, a member of the Henderson Mount Moriah Lodge AF&AM, Topeka, Kan., Scottish Rite Bodies, Las Vegas Zelzah Shriners, past patron of OES 71 in Onaga, and Jessamine OES 45 in Belen, N.M.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two daughters, Marilyn Ankenman and Sondra Wade; one sister, Irene Tessendorf; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at the Mount Moriah Lodge in Henderson. Riverside Funeral Home, Belen, N.M., is handling arrangements.

Joseph J. Hendrickx

Joseph J. Hendrickx, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 4, 1923, in Minnesota. A resident for 28 years, he was a heavy equipment mechanic and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Clementine; two sons, James Joseph Hendrickx and Paul Louis Hendrickx; one daughter, Virginia Tyler; two brothers, Louis Hendrickx and Andrew Hendrickx; four sisters, Clare H. Vorgert, Marie Kennedy, Christine Shiedecker and Nellie Wegsheid; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Raymond Joseph Kwasnieski

Raymond Joseph Kwasnieski, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A World War II and Korean War Army veteran, he was born June 2, 1925, in Omaha, Neb.

He is survived by his wife, Janice R.; one daughter, Sharon Sharrer; two sons, Steven R. Kwasniewski and Jeffrey Kwasniewski; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Anne Lawver

Anne Lawver, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 15, 1922, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Bungard of Las Vegas; two sons, Daniel Lawver of Omak, Wash., and Leonard Lawver of Laurel, Mont.; one brother, Frank Perry of Texas; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mary Lopez

Mary Lopez, 49, of Henderson died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Aug. 5, 1950, in Angeles City, Philippines. A resident for seven years, she was a hotel food server.

She is survived by her husband, Renato; two sons, Reden Galang of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Robby Lopez of Henderson; one daughter, Rhoda Galang, and her mother, Angelina Agustin, both of Henderson; three sisters, May Bituin of Henderson and Linda Zuniga and Teresita Nicdao, both of Angeles City; and three brothers, Jesse Agustin, Albert Agustin and Nilo Agustin, all of Angeles City.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

James M. McNamara

James M. McNamara, 56, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1943, in Jersey City, N.J. A resident for four years, he was a construction inspector, a Navy veteran and a member of the Elks Lodge in Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one son, Sean McNamara of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, William McNamara of Piscataway, N.J., and Edward N. McNamara of Pennsylvania; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Jean Monaco

Jean Monaco, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 15, 1913, in Chicago. A resident for 27 years, she was a former owner of Bells & Brides Bridal Shop and retired in 1991.

She is survived by one son, Bob Monaco, and one sister, RoseMary Stack, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Andrew M. Pierzchala

Andrew M. Pierzchala, 76, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Grand Rapids, Mich. A resident for seven years, he was a retired postal carrier and a World War II and Korean War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Julia; two daughters, Anne Desmond of Lamont, Ill., and Elaine Leavitt of Henderson; one sister, Mary Agnes Pierzchala, and one brother, Val Pierzchala, both of Grand Rapids; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Derek John Pople

Derek John Pople, 68, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1931, in England. A resident for six months, he was a security company owner.

Burial will be in England. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

George J. Radauskas

George J. Radauskas, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 17, 1918, in Cleveland. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired manager of rental apartments, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association and the Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie M.; and one sister, Mary Hoover of Austin, Texas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. today with services following at 6:30 p.m. in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 315 S. Casino Center Blvd. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Laurel M. Sedgley

Laurel M. Sedgley, 45, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1954, in Pasco, Wash. A resident for 35 years, she was a member of AWANS Club and Daylite Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

He is survived by one son, Eric Sedgley of Orange, Calif.; one daughter, Andrea Sedgley, and her mother, Patricia Sanders, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Dion Sanders of Las Vegas and Mark Sanders of Battle Ground, Wash.; and one sister, Melody Saunders-Cook of Vancouver, Wash.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Central Christian Church, 3415 S. Mojave Road. Burial will be private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
