Letter: What happened to education priority?
Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999 | 9:50 a.m.
Surely, those who educate the youth of our state should be compensated in a fairer manner. Why hasn't our new governor had anything to say in this matter? It seems to me that he ran on a pro-education platform. Are promises so easily forgotten?
Many people who are made aware of this situation should be concerned. I urge the good citizens of our state to get involved in this matter. Let's be fair to those who are educating the children of the future. Nothing is more important to us as a nation than to have well-educated citizens to compete in today's world and into the next millennium.
