Letter: Here’s a message for a pair of Las Vegas pols
Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999 | 9:44 a.m.
Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman personally led me to believe that he truly cared about homeowners association problems because he was well aware of them. He added further that these problems were political but that it would not affect "not-political" him. His assistant, Stephanie Boixo, has more than once stressed to me Oscar's interest here. Has anyone heard Oscar allude to homeowners association problems? I haven't!
Did anyone in Hollywood or did any NBA franchise ever hear of Oscar Goodman -- let alone vote for him? Doubt it!
Thanks for your "nonhelp," Oscar.
Speaking of nonhelping elected officials, Las Vegas City Councilman Mike McDonald had a landslide victory. Well Mike, now that you have alienated your fellow Metro officers, isn't it time to finally show some interest in the residents in your own ward?
