Saturday's card

1st Race -- Glass Beauty - Stalked and weakened to 5th in last, stalked and runner-up for higher tag before that, drops back to claimer now, draws good post and record runner Pincay again. Nephrite Mountains - Made late bid at 2nd when debut 3rd at Anita in last, continues training on Hollypark strip, draws better post here, Desormeaux takes over for second lifetime start. Value Play -- Our Navigator

2nd Race -- Crystal Crickett -Off slowly and steadied when 5th at twice this price in last, 2nd by a head while claimed for $20,000 three races back, Pincay stays on Hess trainee, money run time. Go Go Edric - Eliminated at the start while 6th in last, claimed while 6th before that, pair of nice works since raced with most recent move a bullet drill on the 7th, give new conditioner Hofmans another chance here. Value Play -- Feudal Warrior

3rd Race -- French Miniser - Son of French Deputy pressed pace while 6-wide and faded to distant debut 4th in last, swift Hollypark works since raced with two bullet drills from most recent trio of moves, Stevens takes over on Drysdale trainee, breeding and connections to good to dismiss. Gaelic Thunder - Son of Thunder Gulch was close up and weakened with debut 6th in last, nice Anita gate work and most recent bullet Hollypark drill since raced, adds blinkers, another to good to give up on just yet, entrymate gives support. Value Play -- I've Decided

4th Race -- Santa Fe Express - Part of solid entry with John's Hope, 4-wide and cleared to win in last, claimed when 5th before that, in the quinella 3 of 4 starts at this distance with a victory, race sets up for a repeat win with Espinoza again. Self Taught - No rally while overmatched in last pair of outings, runner-up while claimed for this price three races back, won at this trip and track mid-May, hustling Pedroza takes over, should be a factor throughout. Value Play -- B J Ballet

5th Race -- Don't Blame Rio - Finished well to just miss when 2nd by a neck on Anita lawn in last, overachiever has placed in Graded stakes, looks to be coming around now, draws good rail post, Garcia returns, Don't Blame Rio (or me) if Don't does. Shanawi - Specialist at this trip and likes this course, 3 of 5 career victories from half-dozen starts at this distance, in the quinella 4 of 9 outings over this course with a pair of wins, makes third start back, Gomez back. Value Play -- Salish Bull

6th Race -- Brigade - Son of Rubiano split horses late for debut 4th in last, swift pair of works since raced, Stevens returns on Thoroughbred Corporation charge, draws good post, had race, beware. Six Below - 1st time starter by Seattle Sleet (Seattle Slew), has solid swift worktab that includes a trio of bullet drills and pair of most recent 6-panel moves with latest from the gate, trainer Gonzalez is sharp with firsters for owners McCaffery & Toffin, taps Flores for debut. Value Play -- Right Attitude

7th Race -- Box Buster - Stalked pace and weakened at higher level in needed outing in last, broke maiden for higher tag at Del Mar before that, solid steady works since raced, had tighter, beware, Flores/Baffert team. The Chang - 5-wide rally to win state-bred allowance race in last, bobbled at the start and 5th at same in comeback outing before that, good post and husting Pedroza back, chance to repeat here. Value Play -- Cambria Heights

8th Race -- Pavillon - Finished 4-wide 4th in powerful Oak Tree BC Mile in last, the winner -- Silic -- returned to win the Breeders' Cup Mile while runner-up -- Bouccaneer won Gulfstream grass stakes since, must overcome outside post, but he comes out of a productive race in last. Special Quest - Troubled trip when 6th on Anita lawn in last, just missed when 2nd by a head in Bay Meadows 'Cap on Mateo sod before that, has a Hollpark grass victory, Gomez tabbed to replace Solis here. Value Play -- Del Mar Gray

9th Race -- Never Final - Outrun in last pair of outings, 4-wide move, cleared, led and caught late at this level at Fairplex three races back, adds blinkers now, should show speed again, good spot for diploma action in weak nightcap. Perfect Annie - Outrun from inside post off 13-month layoff in last, nice Hollypark work since raced, keeps services of Pincay here, certainly needed last outing and ride stays so we'll give another chance. Value Play -- Toss Me a Freebe
