Lakes Gaming Inc. said today that Thomas Brosig resigned as president and a director of the Minneapolis-based company.
Brosig said he left Lakes to devote more time to his job running the Southern casinos of Park Place Entertainment Corp. of Las Vegas.
"Lakes is a dynamic, fast-paced company whose growth required more time and attention than I was able to provide within the context of my current employment arrangement between Park Place and Lakes," Brosig said.
Lakes Gaming is a spinoff from Grand Casinos Inc., which was acquired by Park Place last December. Lakes manages the two largest casino resorts in Louisiana, Grand Casino Avoyelles and Grand Casino Coushatta.
In the Grand Casinos acquisition, Park Place acquired Grand's two wholly owned Mississippi casinos, which Brosig oversees as president of Park Place's Mid-South division.
