Marilyn A. Bauer
Marilyn A. Bauer, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 31, 1934, in Shamokin, Pa. A resident for 1 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William; two sons, William Bauer Jr. and Robert Bauer, both of California; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services and burial will be private.
Jose Cruz Benavidez
Jose Cruz Benavidez, 35, of Las Vegas died Oct. 22 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 8, 1964, in Arizona. A resident for 30 years, he worked in the financial industry.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; one son, Jose Benavidez Jr., and three daughters, Maria Benavidez, Sherree Benavidez and Rosario Benavidez, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Joe and Pearl Benavidez of Tucson, Ariz., and Silverio and Dolores Benavidez of Las Vegas; two brothers, Paul Benavidez of Las Vegas and Billy Benavidez of Tucson; and two sisters, Donna Zelada of Las Vegas and Joby Lopez of Tucson.
Burial will be in Boulder City Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Jimmie A. Butler
Jimmie A. Butler, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1937, in San Antonio. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired computer technician, a Vietnam War Air Force veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one daughter, Marcia Jordan of Temple, Texas; two sons, Jimmie Butler II of Las Vegas and Penn Springs of Denver; one brother, Samuel Butler of San Antonio; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Ruby S. Catlett
Ruby S. Catlett, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born June 21, 1916, in McCook, Neb. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired manager, a member of Daughters of the Nile and a member of Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Kerry Moore of Las Vegas and Bonnie Sell of Temecula, Calif.; four sisters, Lorna Hall of Carson City, Gene Deems of Las Vegas, Elaine Thompson of Ogden, Utah, and Elnora Farr of Long Beach, Calif.; two brothers, Victor Serr of Reno and Marvin Serr of Canyon Lake, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Rhoda Melissa Hopkins Earl
Rhoda Melissa Hopkins Earl, 90, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1909, in Clausen, Idaho. A resident for one year, she was a former schoolteacher in Utah and Las Vegas. Her family will miss her sweet spirit, wisdom and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Sam Earl. She is survived by three sons, James Randolf Earl of Rio Nido, Calif., and John Lawrence Earl and Dr. Gerald S. Earl, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Judy Williams of Las Vegas; two sisters, Louise Dever of St. George, Utah, and Elva Thompson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two brothers, Robert Hopkins of Parkersburg, W.Va., and John Hopkins of Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in the LDS Chapel at Tropicana and Burnham. Burial will be in St. George. Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary, St. George, is handling arrangements.
Baby Tyler Geddings-Strain
Baby Tyler Geddings-Strain, 10 weeks, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 28, 1999, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Tia Geddings, his father, Millard Strain, one sister, Teanna Williams, his grandparents, Lori and Richard Geddings and Alice Strain; and his great-grandparents, Juanita and Curtis Geddings, Lark and Floyd McKee and Violet Strain, all of Henderson.
Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
William Harris
William Harris, 76, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 16, 1923, in San Francisco. A resident for one year, he was a retired industrial engineer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Claire; three daughters, Diane Harris of Henderson, Pam LaFitte of Baton Rouge, La., and Cindy Schwartz of Bossier City, La.; two sons, Michael Harris of Phoenix and Peter Harris of Marshall, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Robert 'Fletcher' Jenkins
Robert 'Fletcher' Jenkins, 52, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 3, 1948, in Winnsboro, La. A resident for 11 years, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his companion, Kaye Jones of Las Vegas; two sons, Darren Jenkins of North Hollywood, Calif., and Vernon Jenkins of Las Vegas; one daughter, Camilla Jones, and one sister, Juanita Miller, both of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Larry Wade Lepper
Larry Wade Lepper, 37, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 4, 1962, in Las Vegas. A resident for 14 years, he was a lift operator.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Desiree Lepper, Sabrina Lepper and Ashly Norman-Smith, one son, Michael Smith, his parents, Mary and Larry Lepper, and one brother, Wayne Smith, all of Henderson; and three sisters, Teresa Burns of Copperas Cove, Texas, Michele Nelson of Hastings, Neb., and Anita Smith of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 4 p.m. services Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Margaret Lorenzo
Margaret Lorenzo, 90, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 20, 1909, in Missouri. A resident for 62 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Municipal Golf Women's Association.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Deborah Clerc of Omaha, Neb., and Sheri Denney of Denver; and six great-grandchildren.

Lauretta C. Maddox
Lauretta C. Maddox, 38, of Henderson died Monday. She was born April 30, 1961, in Henderson. A lifelong resident, she was a traffic coordinator for a plastics manufacturer.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn C.; one son, Timothy Scott Shepherd, and her parents, Garry and Etta Jean Davis, all of Henderson; her mother, Laura Branscum of Las Vegas; three sisters, Beverly Edmondson of Oakland, Calif., Stephanie Paletta of Henderson and Terri Gomez of Las Vegas; two brothers, Tom Davis of Henderson and Ronnie Davis of Oakland, Calif.; and her grandmother, Mary Williams of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will be Friday in Boulder City Cemetery.
Carl Dean Morgan
Carl Dean Morgan, 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 26, 1940, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 39 years, he was a laborer in a steel mill.
He is survived by one sister, Loretta Clayton of Henderson.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Josephine Mull
Josephine Mull, 80, of Las Vegas died Oct. 26 in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, she was born Feb. 5, 1918.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Virginia Osborne
Virginia Osborne, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 28, 1918, in Arizona. A resident for six years, she was a retired postal clerk.
Services and burial will be in Los Angeles. Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas, is handling arrangements.
Nickolas A. Poillucci Sr.
Nickolas A. Poillucci Sr., 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Chicago. A resident for five years, he was a retired truck driver for a carton company and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Angeline; one daughter, Rosanne Britton of Carol Stream, Ill.; one son, Nicholas A. Poillucci Jr. of Las Vegas; three sisters, Nancy Rossi of Las Vegas, Anna Rossi of Elmwood Park, Ill., and Christine Marzzulo of Fort Meyers, Fla.; one brother, Joseph Poillucci of Elmhurst, Ill.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were 10 a.m. today in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
Steve Price III
Steve Price III, 42, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 26, 1957, in Warren, Ark. A resident for 12 years, he was an electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; three children, Nykki, Major and Whitney, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Earlee and Steve Price Jr. of Crossett, Ark.; six sisters, Brenda Jackson, Vineta Fair, Robbie Williams and Vanessa Galloway, all of Las Vegas, Alice Jones of Houston and Felicia Price of Atlanta; and two brothers, Raymond Price of Las Vegas and Roderick Price of Houston.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, North Las Vegas. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Boulevard Church of Christ, 4000 W. Oakey Blvd. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Edna Carol Alford Rehkop
Edna Carol Alford Rehkop, 63, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. She was born March 26, 1936, in Brookhaven, Miss. A resident for 23 years, she was a civil service employee, a member of the American Guild of Organists, a former member of Toastmasters, a board certified massage therapist and a trainer for Steven Covey Leadership Management.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Rehkop of St. Louis; and two sisters, Sylvia Blanchard of North Las Vegas and Johnny Beth Moore of Tampa, Fla.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6220 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Ralph G. Rose Sr.
Ralph G. Rose Sr., 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired electrician, a World War II Army veteran and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 134.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine E.; one son, Ralph G. Rose Jr. of Las Vegas; one sister, Mildred Rose of Hillside, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Rubye Isabel Seyen
Rubye Isabel Seyen, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 25, 1925, in Georgia. A resident for 12 years, she was a Grey Lady volunteer, a member of the National Beta Club and graduated summa cum laude from Colquitt, Ga.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann Hershelman of Las Vegas and Teresa Marie Hershelman-Secrest of Costa Mesa, Calif.; one son, George Patrick Hershelman of San Pedro, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Viator's Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Elmer Henry Somers
Elmer Henry Somers, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. A foreman for a farm equipment operator, an Army veteran and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Illinois.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Maudine; two stepdaughters, Sharon Moores of Pioneer, Calif., and Judy Wilson of Fairfield, Calif.; two brothers, L. Thomas Somers and James P. Somers, both of Decatur, Ill.; and three sisters, Maxine Knauer-Rieger of Forest, Ill., Inez Somers-Bowen and Agnes K. Fleischauer of Herscher, Ill.

Clarence E. Steele Sr.
Clarence E. Steele Sr., 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 7, 1941, in Epps, La. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired sanitation truck driver and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mary L.; four daughters, LaTonya Evans of Orlando, Fla., and Sharon Steele, Laronda Steele and Mia Steele, all of Las Vegas; one son, Clarence E. Steele Jr., and two brothers, Willie Steele and Robert Golden, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Laverne McCurry and Eartha Davis, both of North Las Vegas, Marie Johnson of Chicago and Shirley Powell of Fort Worth, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Jerry Strosnider, 36, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1963, in California. A resident for 20 years, he was a warehouse foreman.
He is survived by one daughter, Geri Rivera; one son, Jerry Strosnider of Los Angeles; his mother, Mildred Deangelo, one sister, Nancy Deangelo, and two brothers, Jack Strosnider and Joe Deangelo, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

William Dean Ullery, 74, of Pahrump died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was a real estate agent, a Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by two sons, Ron and Bruce; two brothers, Jack of Yuma, Ariz., and Robert of Prescott, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.

Ray Vincent Wilcox Jr.
Ray Vincent Wilcox Jr., 58, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born Dec. 12, 1940, in Illinois. A resident for 17 years, he was a baker/cook for Furr's Cafeteria.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta; his mother, Grace; one brother, Tom Wilcox; and one sister, Joan.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. services Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
