Harrah's Entertainment Inc. said it signed a 15-year, $50 million lease for a new 120,000-square-foot headquarters building at McCarran Center Business Park.
Construction of the four-story building just south of McCarran Airport is expected to begin by year-end and be completed by December 2000. The facility at the Warm Springs Road exit of I-215 will include a three-story parking garage.
The building is part of Thomas & Mack Development Co.'s 103-acre business center near the airport that also rents space to American Airlines, MicroAge, Pioneer Citizens Bank, restaurants and a Doubletree Club Hotel.
Harrah's had previously announced it would move its headquarters to Las Vegas from Memphis, and has leased temporary office space on West Sahara Avenue. It expects to complete the transfer of personnel from Memphis in January.
