Letter: Don’t give up on Notch Babies
Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999 | 9:15 a.m.
At Seniors United political meetings when I bring up the unresolved notch situation, I'm told to forget it; it's dead. No, it isn't. I'm 81 now, but I'm still alive and we old folks need our money. The price of groceries is outrageous, cost of medicine just plain greedy, gas is overpriced and car insurance is unconscionable.
Our generation consists of survivors of the Great Depression, then World War II, and we earned every cent the hard way. I will not "go gently into that good night."
Thank you again for not giving up on us.
