Letters: Road rage roots often overlooked on valley streets
Monday, Nov. 8, 1999 | 10:21 a.m.
The reason motorists in the valley are outraged is because of the total ineptness of Gerry deCamp, who is responsible for programming the traffic signals; Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, for permitting him to continue in his position; our sheriff, for not instructing his officers to cite impeders of traffic, not just speeders; and finally, all of the past and present city fathers for ignoring this problem and doing nothing about it but applying "lip service."
Rather than cure the underlying reasons for road rage, why does the media always ignore the real responsible parties and try to fault the good drivers who are fed up with the lack of sensible law enforcement, coupled with some needed modifications to some of the ridiculous traffic laws which add to the city's congestion and gridlock?
