Metro Police are looking at a possible connection between a number of home invasion robberies and a man who was arrested last week for a Harrah's casino heist.
Draketorial Michael Macon, 30, was arrested Oct. 28 and charged with robbery and burglary in connection with the Harrah's robbery on Oct. 26.
Investigators believe Macon was one of three men who entered the casino at about 4 a.m. and demanded cash from slot personnel.
The men were chased by security personnel and escaped in a white, 1980s model Cadillac.
Investigators said when Macon was arrested police also impounded a white, 1987 Cadillac.
Metro Police spokesman Lt. Marc Joseph said robbery is taking a close look at Macon.
"There could be a possible connection between him and one of the home invasion robberies that have taken place recently," Joseph said.
There have been a number of high-profile home invasions in the Las Vegas Valley, beginning with one in Summerlin on Oct. 13. The most recent one took place Tuesday at a home near Cheyenne Avenue and Tenaya Way in the northwest part of the valley near Summerlin.
There have been no injuries in any of the robberies, usually carried out by two or more men who are armed and masked when they enter a residence -- generally through an unlocked door. They bind their victims with duct tape.
In at least two occasions victims have been taken to ATM machines and forced to make withdrawals.
