CarsDirect.com, the first internet car company to allow consumers to complete automobile transactions online, has acquired title sponsorship rights to the NASCAR Winston Cup event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2000. The event will be called the CarsDirect.com 400.
Financial details of the sponsorship were not disclosed, but the Sun reported last month that sources in the industry placed the figure at $1.9 million for one year.
The CarsDirect.com 400 is scheduled for Sunday, March 5, 2000, at 11:30 a.m. ABC Sports will televise the race nationally.
A few tickets remain for the CarsDirect.com 400, according to LVMS officials. Fans can call the LVMS ticket office at (800) 644-4444 or visit the website at www.lvms.com for more information.
