The Las Vegas Silver Bandits of the International Basketball League will hold open auditions for the team's public address announcer position. The auditions will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center. Interested applicants should fax a resume to 938-3840, attention Mike Libonati. They can also call the team at 938-3838.

In other news, the Silver Bandits signed Eme Oduwok, Andy Bostic, Howard Nathan and Ron Riley of Clark High School.

Oduwok is a 6-9 center out of Loyola University, Bostic a 6-5 guard out of South Carolina, Nathan a 5-11 point guard from De Paul University and Riley a 6-5, 200-pound swingman who went to Arizona State.

In another development, Rodney Buford won't play for the Silver Bandits after all. Buford, drafted by the NBA's Miami Heat last June, signed with the Heat.

The team starts its inaugural 64-game season on Nov. 26 against the San Diego Stingrays in the Thomas & Mack Center. Tickets are $8, $10, $15 and $20. They can be purchased by calling 938-3838.
