2nd Race -- McCordnskuba - Pressed early from rail post and weakened in last, dueled lead and overtaken when 2nd before that, now drops in for a tag, needs clean trip from another rail post here. Island Appeal - Off slowly and second from rail post at Del Mar in last, returns to races with solid worktab, boasts bullet drill on the 3rd, off rail now and Eddie D. takes over. Value Play -- Mister Jareed

3rd Race -- Prototype - 4-wide and no rally at higher level off two-month layoff in last, won before that, in the quinella half of 10 starts at this distance with a trio of victories, 2-for-5 at Anita, had race, beware. Baja Gold - Chased leader, made bid and held gamely to win in needed outing in last, in the quinella half of 16 starts at this distance with 4 wins, 2-for-4 at Anita, Garcia returns on Stute trainee for repeat try. Value Play -- Randi's Man

4th Race -- Tavildaran - Returns to races with steady worktab, Irish-bred in the quinella 8 of 21 lifetime starts with 5 victories, P. Val. tabbed for comeback by trainer Drysdale, good spot for action. Rate Cut - Came home like gangbusters to just get up for the win off-the-shelf while claimed in last, has won 25% of lifetime starts, draws rail now, Solis replaced by Almeida by new trainer Bincoe here. Value Play -- Porbandar

5th Race -- Ex Miss Fuzz - Returns to races with solid works that include bullet 6-panel drill on 10/6, set pace and second late-April in last, in the money 4 of 5 career starts, Ramsammy returns on Baffert trainee, drops to claimer for this. Flying Carolyn - Pressed early and held 3rd in last, stalked and held 3rd before that, also 3rd at the fair three races back, draws inside post, has early speed, may be in right spot to collect diploma. 6th Race -- Tejana Selena - 5-wide second in last, second best before that, in the quinella 6 of 10 lifetime starts with a maiden victory, Puglisi now on Dominquez trainee, distance to suit running style. Song of Summer - Made bid and outgamed while 2nd by a head at a mile in last, runner-up at this distance three races back at Del Mar, Delahoussaye takes over on Hofmans trainee, rider fit could produce victory. 7th Race -- Royal Terminal - Made inside move and held 2nd over this course in last, 3rd on Del Mar sod before that, all 3 lifetime victories from 7 starts at this distance, Eddie D. takes over. Ole by Me - Stalked, made bid and close runner-up in last, stalked 3-wide, got lead and outfinished when 2nd before that, draws good rail post here, hustling connections may be sitting on a win.
