A man who reportedly begged Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers to kill him will be arraigned November 18 on a variety of charges, including murder.
Metro Sgt. David Swoboda testified Fernando Hernandez jumped out of his vehicle after being stopped for speeding last month and begged police to kill him.
Hernandez is accused of killing his wife in front of their 3-year-old daughter. The body of 38-year-old Donna Hernandez was found in her Las Vegas home. She died of strangulation, blows to the head and stab wounds.
Court records show Donna Hernandez had documented a long series of threats and physical abuse. In the past four years, she had obtained seven temporary or extended protective orders against Fernando Hernandez.
