I especially enjoyed her reflections on changes in the past few decades, such as how the small grocery owner would "not notice" as the local "neer do well" walked out with the bottle of wine tucked under his jacket. Today he would be up in the manager's office with some squad cars parked out in front.
Yes, there have been a lot of changes, not all for the better. Thanks for your views, Ruthe.
