Three UNLV student-athletes were named to the 1999 GTE Academic All-District VIII Spring At-Large team, selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).
Jeremy Anderson from men's golf, Asaf Tishler from men's tennis and Susie Kocsis from women's tennis were UNLV's selections.
UNLV is the only school with more than one representative on the men's team. Anderson is a repeat selection who went on to be selected to the 1998 GTE Academic All-America team.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale, must be in at least their second year of participation at the school and must be an important squad contributor.
