Nevada Stage Company presents an adapted version of the Shakespeare classic "Taming of the Shrew" at 7 p.m., today through Sunday at Hills Park, west of Rampart Boulevard, in Summerlin. Tickets are $10; children under age 5 are admitted free. Call 396-7400.
'Celebrate America' The International Church of Las Vegas hosts "Celebrate America," a day of sports, interactive games, music, food and fireworks, Monday at Hills Park. Events begin at 7 a.m. with a "fun walk and run" (pre-registration required). Admission is $8 in advance; $12 the day of the event. Call 242-2273.
Pokemon visits
Nintendo video-game character Pokemon will appear at the Pokemon Trading Card Game Tour, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Game Keeper at the Galleria at Sunset mall. Learn how to play the trading card game. Children will receive a collector card portfolio.
Pianist performs
Pianist Danilo Perez and his trio perform Latin-edged jazz beginning at 7:30 p.m. Saturday as part of the Jazz in the Park Concert series at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. Admission is free.
New inductees
Impressionist Rich Little, musical group the Treniers and gambler Pug Pearson will be inducted into the Casino Legends Hall of Fame at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Tropicana hotel-casino.
Blues Society event
Las Vegas Blues Society's "Blues and Barbecue" features blues music and traditional barbecue food from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Station. Performers include guitarists Corey Stevens, Chris Hiatt & Cold Shot, and John Earl's Boogieman Band. Tickets are $2. Call 547-7777.
Game truck visits
The Blockbuster Video/Nintendo Game Truck pulls into Las Vegas today and will be set up at locations around the valley through June 6. The 34-foot-long trailers feature Nintendo 64 game stations and can accommodate up to 22 people to play the games free of charge. This weekend's schedule is as follows: Blockbuster store at East Flamingo Road and Maryland Parkway from 6-9 p.m. today; Texas Station's South Padre Amphitheater from 5-11 p.m. Saturday; Blockbuster store at West Charleston Boulevard and Decatur Boulevard from 1-7 p.m. Sunday.
Vietnam veterans
A dozen bands are scheduled to perform beginning at 3 p.m Sunday at the Sand Dollar Blues Lounge, 3355 Spring Mountain Road, in a concert benefiting local Vietnam veterans. John Earl & the Boogey Man Band, the Ruffnecks, P.J. Belly & Texas Thunder, and the Shuffle-aires will be among the performers. Admission is a $5 donation. Call 871-6651.
Mediums explored
The art of LeRoy Neiman will be exhibited through June 30 at Centuar Galleries in the Fashion Show mall. Call 737-0004.

'Hat' auditions
Singers and dancers are encouraged to audition for the "Put on a Hat, Too!" showcase for the Screen Actors Guild Nevada Conservatory fund-raiser.
