Rebels net doubles loss

The UNLV doubles team of Nenad Zivkovic and Gregor Skorin was eliminated in straight sets from the 1999 NCAA Men's Tennis Championships Thursday at Athens, Ga.

Playing on center court against the third-seeded team of Jean-Noel Grinda and Jong Ming-Lee of UCLA, Zivkovic and Skorin sometimes looked sharp but had their serve broken four times in the 6-3, 6-3 defeat.

The Rebel duo, ranked 19th and unseeded, closed out the year with a record of 9-5. They had not played together since March 15 because they were split up during most of the spring's dual-match season.
