Rancho High has high rate of failure on proficiency exam

But other classes struggled. At Rancho High, almost 30 percent of the senior class flunked the exit exam after testing as many as five times. Rancho led the list of Clark County schools with the highest failure rate, with 115 students failing the Nevada High School Proficiency Exam.
"There's a lot of work we have to do," said Liz Fraser, who became Rancho's interim principal less than two months ago. "We have a large population of second-language students. We have a large population of special education students. But we also have some of the best teachers in the district."
