Friday, May 28, 1999 | 11:38 a.m.

A Nevada company operating an Internet gambling site in Australia has signed an agreement with an Australian company that could lead to greater exposure to its online wagering site within a month.

A spokesman for American Wagering Inc. said company officials will meet with representatives of Worldwide Media Holdings, a subsidiary of Inland Entertainment Corp. of Australia. The agreement would allow Worldwide Media to to market American Wagering's Australian subsidiary, Megasports PTY.

Under the agreement, Worldwide Media will provide linking capabilities providing greater exposure to American Wagering's Internet sportsbook at www.megasports.com.au.

Bob Ciunci, a spokesman for American Wagering, said the company hopes to meet with the Australian group within the next two to three weeks and if all goes according to plan, the links to the site should be on line within a month.

Financial considerations between American Wagering and the Australian companies will be a part of the discussions, Ciunci said, and will be disclosed when negotiations are completed.

American Wagering owns and operates Leroy's Horse and Sports Place and 48 sports book locations in Nevada. It also owns CBS, a supplier of sports and race book equipment and software.
