The UNLV women's basketball program has signed six more players to national letters of intent, coach Regina Miller announced Wednesday.
The six new additions to the Lady Rebel roster are Constance Jinks, Tiana Sanders, Dayna Gambill, Myeisha Jones, Marenna Nyffeler and Jessica McEwen.
Jinks, a 5-6 point guard from Morgan Park High School in Chicago, averaged 23 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and five steals per game last winter in her senior season.
Sanders, a 5-10 transfer from Pasadena City College, holds the school's record for most points scored in a season as she poured in 744 last year. She was the MVP of four tournaments and was the second-leading scorer in the state of California.
Gambill, a 5-6 transfer from Lassen Junior College in Susanville, Calif., plays the point guard position. She averaged 19 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals last season at Lassen.
Jones, a 6-4 transfer from Merritt College in Oakland, Calif., plays the post position. She averaged 12.5 points, 11.7 rebounds and 6.6 blocked shots per contest last season.
The six latest additions to the Lady Rebels will join Carlesa Dixon, who signed with UNLV during the early signing period. Dixon, a 6-foot forward, led Lincoln High School of Dallas to an undefeated record and the Texas state championship last season.
