Hotel executive reassigned

Thursday, May 27, 1999 | 11:10 a.m.

The Sun Herald newspaper reported Doug Pool was reassigned Tuesday and that Barry Shier, Beau Rivage chairman and chief executive, has taken over Pool's responsibilities.

Shier, a right-hand man of Mirage Chairman Steve Wynn in Las Vegas, said he will now spend most of his time at Beau Rivage.

Analyst Harry Curtis of BancBoston Robertson Stephens reported last week that Beau Rivage is having difficulty filling hotel rooms during mid-week periods and that costs there are running high.

"At this time we need people to establish a level of consistency and take the property to its next level," Shier told the Sun Herald.
