In the LVCVA's 2000 fiscal year, several special events that were promoted in previous years have been reduced or eliminated. The events from 1999 that won't get promotional help in 2000:
Big League Weekend, Helldorado Rodeo, Senior Softball, Cowboys of Color, College Sports Week coaches event, Sinatra Golf Tournament, UHRA Hydroplane races, U.S. Slowpitch, Black College Choir Festival, Las Vegas Marathon, LPGA golf tournament, Primm Grand Prix, Las Vegas Cup, UNLV Special Events Marketing, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Laughlin Air Races, Las Vegas Chili Cookoff, Nevada Senior Olympics and golf marketing.
