Construction spurt for Northern Nevada roads

That's because of an influx of federal money and a backlog of some $30 million in pending projects.
Plans by the Nevada Department of Transportation call for spending $90 million on road work in Washoe County alone.
The department planned to spend $60 million in Washoe County last year, but ended up completing only $30 million worth of projects. Work should triple that this season, according to SNOT spokesman Scott Magruder.
