Four local PGA professionals are offering free 10-minute lessons this month as part of Golf Digest magazine's and the PGA of America's "10 More Yards" campaign.
The nationwide campaign is designed to help amateur golfers gain more distance and increase interest in game-improvement lessons.
A certificate for a free 10-minute lesson is bound into every May issue of Golf Digest, along with a list of participating PGA professionals. Amateur golfers also can call a local PGA professional to obtain a certificate for the free lesson and scheduled a time.
The local PGA pros participating in the campaign are Richard Fite (Black Mountain Country Club); Charles Packard (Wildhorse Golf Club); Tony Lawson (Stallion Mountain Country Club -- members only); and James Kirwan Jr. (Calvada Valley Golf and Country Club).
