1ST RACE:
Queenie Belle - First-time starter by Bertrando, solid Hollypark works with pair of bullet drills from most recent five moves, good post, trainer Cecil tabs Solis for debut. Magicalmysterycat - First-time starter by Storm Cat, another with solid worktab, most recent drill a bullet move on the 18th, Derby-Preakness team of Lukas/Antley for debut. Value Play -- Color My Heart
2ND RACE:
Shady Link - Squeezed at the start and 4-wide in last, made bid and held 3rd before that, Flores takes over here, may trip out for the win in this spot. Le Silencieux - Finished well for close 2nd at this trip in last, in the quinella half of 10 starts at the distance with a pair of victories, Sorenson takes over for vacating Flores now, another like last wins. Value Play -- Engelbert
3RD RACE:
Queensland Star - Rallied and inched out a photo-finish win at a mile on Anita turf in last, finished well for runner up by a head down the hill at Anita before that, fits this trip and Stevens returns. Admire the Flag - Stalked and 3-wide bid for 3rd in needed outing in last, swift solid works continue, draws good post for the distance, has tactical speed, Gomez takes over for this. Value Play -- Dillionaire
4TH RACE:
Fair Kate - No threat at maiden special conditions in last, 3-wide bid while runner up for a tag before that, returns in claimer now, reunites with hustling Espinoza, must break clean from rail post. Delmarlady - First-time starter by Ruhlmann, solid series of works, well placed, good post, Pincay scales for Greenman trainee debut. Value Play -- Cash Express
5TH RACE:
Freespool - Huge maiden breaker early-April in last, solid works since raced with a pair of bullet drills of most recent three moves, Desormeaux returns on West trainee, has the tools to repeat here. Midnite Wind - Made impressive return to races with solid maiden breaker at Golden Gate in last, returns to southland now, steady works since raced, hustling Espinoza gets the call. Value Play -- Hemet Gold
6TH RACE:
Pete's Skianno - Overmatched in four lifetime starts at maiden special conditions, drops to claimer now, showed speed two races back, faces easier group here, good spot to graduate. The Wicked Path - Stalked with best career effort while 2nd at a mile in last, three works since raced, good post, Antley got to know him in last, diploma chance in lackluster field. Value Play -- Kentucky Bluebird
7TH RACE:
Mantles Star - Tracked, led and caught late while close 2nd at this trip in last, biggest career victory came over this course in 1997 Grade III stakes, in the quinella half of 16 lifetime starts, Gomez returns, must overcome outside post. Poteen - Just missed in Grade II San Francisco Mile when 2nd by a head when in need of a race in last, 3rd to Labeeb in Group I Woodbine Mile in 1998, Eddie D. returns on Cecil trainee, bounce only concern. 8TH RACE:
Extra Grand -First-time starter by Exemplary Leader, swift series of works with three bullet drills of most recent nine moves, good post and well placed, hustling bug boy Valdez for debut, need only run to works. King of Klugs - Jaklin Klugman offspring finished a debut 3rd over this track in last, returns here with another good post and race experience now, hustling Espinoza for solid trainer O'Neill.
