Claudia Marie Allison, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Durham, N.C. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruthie E. Alisson of Enterprise, Utah; two sons, Joe Allison of Atlanta and Charles Allison of Bryans Road, Md.; one sister, Belvalene Cameron of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, Donald Hamlett of Durham, N.C., and John Robert Hamlett Jr. of Virginia; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Ruth Beatty
Ruth Beatty, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born April 4, 1931, in Breslau, Germany. A resident for 22 years, she was a homemaker.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Stella DeMartin Brafford
Stella DeMartin Brafford, 85, of Las Vegas died May 12 in a local hospice. She was born May 20, 1913, in Rudyard, Mont. A resident for three months, she was a school cook of 15 years and a bookkeeper, both in Rudyard.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Slater of Las Vegas and Judy Froehlich of Gillette, Wyo.; one son, Jim Brafford of Severance, Colo.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Calvary Evangelical Church, Rudyard, Mont.
Irene Moore Burks
Irene Moore Burks, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 10, 1913, in Tallulah, La. A resident for more than 55 years, she was a retired Sands hotel inspectress for more than 20 years, a Landmark hotel-casino slot porter and a powder room attendant at the Las Vegas Convention Center for 10 years.
She is survived by eight daughters, Dora Lee Harper of Compton, Calif., Bernice Knight and Arlene Moore, both of North Las Vegas, Claree Banks of Los Angeles, Irene Childress, Martha Rose William, Patricia Ann McNeal and Versa Marie Moore, all of Las Vegas; two sons, Monroe Phillips of North Las Vegas and Charles Edward Moore of Las Vegas; two sisters, Pearlie Joe and Lillian Matthews, both of Berkeley, Calif.; 38 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Zion United Methodist Church, 2108 N. Revere St., North Las Vegas. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Roger 'Tom' Chavez
Roger 'Tom' Chavez, 53, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1945, in Bernalillo, N.M. A resident for 13 years, he was a retail sales produce manager.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah L.; one daughter, Tommie Ann Sandoval of Bernalillo; two sisters, Carmen Sisneros of Bernalillo and Rosie Duran of Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Philip Chavez of Bernalillo and Lawrence Chavez of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Huntley B. Cox
Huntley B. Cox, 30, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 13, 1968, in Las Vegas. A resident for 30 years, he was a paralegal, a Boy Scout leader for the Harmony Ward of the LDS Church and an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his wife, Heather P.; two sons, Parker Cox and Gunther Cox, and his parents, Sue A. and H. Bruce Cox, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Elizabeth Fuller of Phoenix, Rebecca Phillips of Chandler, Ariz., and Deborah Cox of Las Vegas; two brothers, David Cox of Reno and John Cox of Utica, Germany; his grandmother, Nellie I. Cox of St. George, Utah; and his grandfather, Jerry H. Reed of Wichita, Kan.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Dr. William L. Dubovik
Dr. William L. Dubovik, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Baltimore. A resident for 51 years, he was a retired dentist and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; four daughters, Susan Marxen and Marianna Dubovik Jones, both of Las Vegas, Nancy Ellington of Wichita, Kan., and Linda West of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, William L. Dubovik III of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Grant Frehner
Grant Frehner, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 26, 1925, in St. Thomas. A resident for 66 years, he was a retired electrician and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Munson of Rock Island, Ill.; one son, Grant G. Frehner II; one sister, Phyllis Kline of Las Vegas; two brothers, Gordon Frehner of Henderson and Stanley Frehner of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Helen Golding
Helen Golding, 69, of Brockton, Mass., died Monday in Brockton. She was born Jan. 22, 1930, in Newark, N.J. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a retired federal government clerk.
She is survived by one son, John A. Golding, and four daughters, Deborah A. McMullin, Irma E. Monteiro, Maureen A. Direnzo and Elizabeth K. Shaw, all of Brockton; and 15 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Anna P. Hanson
Anna P. Hanson, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born July 27, 1922, in Kentucky. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired pianist/organist, a member of Red Rock Moose Lodge 252 and a retired member of the Musicians Union.
She is survived by her husband, George; one son, Ronald K. Haggin of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Mickey Scurries of Pleasanton, Calif., and Louise Dinsdale and Boots Manfield, both of Trear, Iowa; seven grandchildren and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Lamar Leavitt
Lamar Leavitt, 75, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 8, 1923, in Mesquite. A longtime resident, he was a corrections officer for the police department and a World War II Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Valerie Sutton; and four grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Willverna; two sons, Dean Leavitt of North Las Vegas and Randy Leavitt of Logandale; two daughters, Joy Leavitt and Trudi Johnson, both of North Las Vegas; one brother, Lindsay Leavitt of Las Vegas; three sisters, Eloise Leavitt, Etta Cheeney and Noma Clark, all of St. George, Utah; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled 11 a.m. today in Civic Center and Tonopah LDS Chapel, followed by burial in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Toni Lee Marshall
Toni Lee Marshall, 56, of Searchlight died May 13 in a local hospital. She was born May 26, 1942, in Searchlight. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Marshall and Marvis Marshall, both of Searchlight; one daughter, Judy Livingston, and one brother, Tony Webb, both of Henderson; two sisters, Donna Merrell of Las Vegas and Belinda Syphus of Utah; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Searchlight Community Church. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Luke Melchionne
Luke Melchionne, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1907, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 45 years, he was a parks superintendent for Newark for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Philomena; one son, Samuel C. Melchionne Sr., and one daughter, Catherine R. Kuhn, both of Las Vegas; five brothers, Louis Melchionne, Michael Melchionne, Salvatore Melchionne, Ernest Melchionne and Anthony Melchionne, and two sisters, Millie Ferruggio and Lucille Calderone, all of Newark, N.J.; nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday and noon until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Don Nelson
Don Nelson, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 5, 1928, in Devils Lake, N.D. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired county investigator and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Patty King and Cathy Torres, both of Torrance, Calif.; one son, Mike Nelson of Reno; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until a 7 p.m. rosary today and one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Phil Noble
Phil Noble, 62, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 19, 1937, in Sterling, Colo. A resident for nine years, he was a retired salesman in the entertainment business and a member of Southern Nevada Culinary and Bartenders Association.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri; one daughter, Chris Peterson of Salt Lake City; six sons, Michael Crandall of Mesa, Ariz., Phil Noble Jr. of New Jersey, Sean Crandall of Portland, Ore., Michael Noble of O'Falon, Ill., and Brian Noble and Alan Noble, both of Texas; two sisters, Sylvia Johnson of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Gina Withers of Chesterfield, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be noon Friday in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

George Pilney
George Pilney, 91, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 8, 1908, in Chicago. A resident for five years, he was a retired furrier and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Margaret Blackman of Las Vegas and Janice Krusa of Bluffs, Ill.; one son, Donald Pilney of Hartford, Conn.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Eules Romans, 77, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. He was born June 16, 1921, in Praise, Ky. A resident for 54 years, he was a retired grounds leader, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans, a former prisoner of war and Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J.; one daughter, Cheryl Mouton of Las Vegas; four sons, Vernon Romans of North Las Vegas, Marty Romans and Ballard Romans, all of Las Vegas, and Eules Jean Romans of Boulder City; one sister, Shirley Sepe of LaDera, Calif.; five brothers, Gaines Romans of Henderson, Carson Romans and George Chavez, all of Las Vegas, Clarence Romans of North Las Vegas and Herbert Romans of Logandale; six grandchildren and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Alfred Rostov, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Utica, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was retired from the Air Force and a civil aircraft technician.
He is survived by one sister, Dorothy Slobod of Laguna Woods, Calif.; and one brother, Leonard Rostov of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Andrew Joseph Smith
Andrew Joseph Smith, 72, of Las Vegas died May 13 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 4, 1927, in Topeka, Kan. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired casino executive at several local casinos and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by three daughters, Valerie R. Smith of Los Angeles, Susan T. Jackson of Encino, Calif., and Sherry R. Danchik of Agoura Hills, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
