Letters: Impact study shows perils of gambling

Not denying some of the positive effects of the gambling industry, doesn't anyone in Las Vegas get a little nervous when you take the family out to eat, bowl, roller skate, see the movies or buy that Krispy Kreme doughnut, and you end up in a casino? Some believe that is shaping one's behavior to gamble more.
Yet the industry continues to insist it has no desire to increase the gambling behavior of its consumers or the citizens in the community while it prepares harbors in everyone's backyard for the new titanic of the gambling expansion -- which is never ending.
