Letter: Don’t sue Metro over son’s death

Monday, May 17, 1999 | 12:55 p.m.

Re: Family may sue.

The dead man's mother, Connie Perrin, choked back tears after the inquest as she called the verdict "Wrong, horribly wrong."

"Someone should be held accountable for the loss of my son," she said.

Yes, someone should be held accountable for the loss. How about the son since he was the one that was stoned, walking at night carrying drugs and not following the orders of a police officer?

I am sure that suing the Metro Police Department (taxpayers' money) will make this all better for them since it is apparent that he was making lots of money to support the family.
