Mariano Bacay Jr., 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. He was born Oct. 14, 1922, in the Philippines. A resident for 11 years, he was a schoolteacher.

He is survived by his wife, Rufina; seven sons, Robinson Bacay, Leonardo Bacay, Rudyard Bacay, Romeo Bacay, Victor Bacay, Renante Bacay and Oscar Bacay; and two daughters, Annabel Matule and Vilma Delgado.

Visitation is scheduled noon-2:30 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens.

Evelyn Jean Bixler

Evelyn Jean Bixler, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Littlestown, Pa. A resident for 31 years, she was a police officer.

She is survived by her husband, Sterling; two sons, Terry L. Ingram of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Kenneth E. Ingram of Hanover, Pa.; two daughters, Judy A. Ingram of Westminster, Md., and Bonnie J. Bowers of Taneytown, Md.; one brother, Donald S. Rickrode of Hanover; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Margaret Clark

Margaret Clark, 81, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born March 9, 1918, in Texas. A resident for 6 1/2 years, she was a retired factory laborer.

She is survived by one daughter, Marvina St. Anthony; and three grandchildren.

Visitation continues until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross chapel. A private burial will follow.

Jaime A. Contreras

Jaime A. Contreras, 43, of Las Vegas died May 7 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 16, 1955, in Mexico. A resident for five years, he was a pipe company salesman.

He is survived by one brother, Ricardo Contreras of Sun Valley, Calif.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in California.

Joseph Anthony Cruppi

Joseph Anthony Cruppi, 60, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 5, 1939, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, he was a union painter at the Luxor and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline A.; two sons, Joseph A. Cruppi Jr. of Rochester, and Tony Cruppi of Las Vegas; four daughters, Darlene M. Rivera and Linda M. Cruppi, both of Rochester, Karen Cruppi of Las Vegas and Sharon Desvari of Salt Lake City; one brother, Theodore Cruppi, and one sister, Sally Kilbury, both of Rochester; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

George Dale Cunningham

George Dale Cunningham, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 31, 1917, in Ohio. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired service station owner-operator.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one son, James Cunningham of Las Vegas; two brothers, John Cunningham of Georgia and Norvin Cunningham of Florida; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday in Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Margaret Jane Duca

Margaret Jane Duca, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 8, 1927, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Christina J. Duca of Minnesota; one son, Michael J. Duca of Kewanna, Ind.; one sister, Jean Barker of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Gonzalo Reyes Escobar

Gonzalo Reyes Escobar, 35, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 29, 1964, in Mexico. A resident for 10 years, he was a cook.

He is survived by his parents, Ernesto and Maria Elena Reyes de Escobar, five brothers, Ernesto Escobar, Pedro Escobar, Gerardo Escobar, Austreberto Escobar and Antonio Escobar, and six sisters, Yolanda Escobar, Marta Silvia Escobar, Guadalupe Escobar, Mari Cruz Escobar, Maria Elena Escobar and Patricia Escobar, all of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Vivian Dorothy Frisvold

Vivian Dorothy Frisvold, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 6, 1918, in Michigan. A resident for 25 years, she was a bookkeeper for a general contractor.

She is survived by one son, Stephen Frisvold; one daughter, Susanne Waldahl; and four grandchildren.

Joe Albert Garcia

Joe Albert Garcia, 29, of Las Vegas died May 8 in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, he was born Oct. 25, 1969, in Tijuana, Mexico.

He is survived by his parents, Jose and Maria Garcia, one sister, Suzy Garcia, and one brother, Vicent Garcia, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Luzy and Jesus Gonzales of Santa Ana, Calif., and Amelia and Lino Garcia of Mexico.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 6 p.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross chapel. A private burial will follow.

Morris Ginsberg

Morris Ginsberg, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 19, 1915, in East Orange, N.J. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a dry cleaning establishment, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Zelzah Shrine Temple and a former ritual vice president of Ner Tamid Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter, Merle Rosenzweig of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one son, Irving W. Ginsberg of Henderson; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Michigan. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Donna Goettsche Jensen

Donna Goettsche Jensen, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A registered nurse, she was born March 7, 1929, in Burley, Idaho.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; five daughters, Mary Barney, Linda Zobrist, Carolyn Ferrin, JoAnn Moulton and Margaret Seastrand; four sons, Bill Jensen, Michael Jensen, Jim Jensen and Robert Jensen; two sisters, Ruth and Esther; 43 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Sloan-Alcott LDS Chapel, 1707 S. Sloan Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Patricia L. Lucero

Patricia L. Lucero, 66, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 17, 1933, in Espanola, N.M. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jose B.; two sons, David R. Lucero and Juan S. Lucero, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Reyes Gonzales and Armando Gonzales, both of Espanola, N.M.; two sisters, Carmen Naranjo and Helen Cowell, both of Santa Fe, N.M.; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Saturday with a 6 p.m. rosary and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

Chester O. Macke

Chester O. Macke, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 18, 1913, in Missouri. A resident for four years, he was an electrical appliance plant manager.

He is survived by one son, Richard; one daughter, Katharine; one sister, Vivian Heinrick of Arkansas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

James Vincent Masi

James Vincent Masi, 58, of Henderson died May 7 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 3, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for six years, he was an Army veteran and a member of the Brooklyn Club.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; one son, James Masi, and one daughter, Danielle Masi, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Joseph Masi of New York state and Carmine Masi of Florida.

Robert W. O'Connor

Robert W. O'Connor, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 12, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired salesman in the construction industry and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Karen Wylie of Derby, N.Y.; one son, Scott O'Connor of Tonawanda, N.Y.; two brothers, Thomas O'Connor and Raymond O'Connor, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Thelma Marie Raddle

Thelma Marie Raddle, 90, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1908, in Solomons Island, Md. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired variety store clerk and past senior regent of the Women of the Moose Lodge Chapter 1158 in Costa Mesa, Calif.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Murray of Las Vegas and Patricia Ann Trigger of California; two sons, Edmond Coolidge of Arlington, W.Va., and William Trigger of Hagerstown, Md.; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. All services will be in California. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Renate S. Rosensteel

Renate S. Rosensteel, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Denver. She was born July 4, 1942, in Kassel, Germany. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired hotel-casino accountant, a member of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Humane Society and the Greyhound Rescue.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn; one daughter, Dona Brekke of Denver; two brothers, Wolfgang Scharapenko of Kassel and Helmuth Scharapenko of Canada; and four sisters, Lisa Cassel, Ruth Nagel, Erika Wilhelm and Lilo Scharapenko, all of Kassel.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Larry Viarengo, 55, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 22, 1944, in New York City. A resident for one year, he was a salesman for a pool company and a former golf pro.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Lisa Zacharycuk of Mount Laurel, N.J., and Lynn Watson of Marlton, N.J.; one son, Matthew Viarengo of Boston; his mother, Lucille Viarengo of Cherry Hill, N.J.; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Neal 'Red' Walsh

Neal 'Red' Walsh, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 6, 1918, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 38 years, he retired from the Riviera hotel-casino as a dealer after 38 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Shannon Neal Walsh of Las Vegas.

Ruth Eloise Walton

Ruth Eloise Walton, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Tulsa, Okla. A resident for 11 years, she was an educator.

She is survived by two daughters, Joy Lynn Walton and Wanda Livingston, both of Las Vegas; three goddaughters; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
