Police arrested a 16-year-old boy, who is a student at Mojave High School, and a 17-year-old girl and confiscated two loaded handguns. The 17-year-old is a former student at the high school, said Clark County School District police Sgt. Ken Young.
Four others in the vehicle were not arrested.
The teens are accused of kidnapping a 43-year-old woman at gunpoint Tuesday evening at her home and forcing her into her car, said North Las Vegas police Sgt. Michael Judd. The teens then dropped the woman off about a mile away from her home. The victim, whose name was not released, called police from a residence.
School police spotted the stolen vehicle Wednesday morning on the Mojave campus.
The suspects, whose names also were not released, were booked into Juvenile Hall on charges of robbery with a deadly weapon and kidnapping.
Judd said the victim knew the suspects, but a motive has not been established.
Authorities do not believe the teens planned to carry the guns into the school.
