Metro Police arrested a 25-year-old man Tuesday in connection with a stabbing death that occurred Sunday in Corona, Calif.
Artis Belger Haggins was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition, Metro Sgt. Jim Young said.
Young said Corona police received information that Haggins may have fled to Las Vegas. He was sought in the stabbing death of a man during an argument.
The identity of the stabbing victim was not immediately available.
Bradford hired as communications chief
A government affairs consultant for Nevada Power Co. was officially hired Tuesday as Clark County's new public communications director.
The commission unanimously approved the appointment of Doug Bradford, 42. Bradford, a Clark County resident for 15 years, replaces Tom Warden, who left his post in March to become a spokesman for the Howard Hughes Corp.
Before working at Nevada Power, Bradford worked as manager of intergovernmental relations for Science Applications International Corp., which performs contract work for the Department of Energy. He has also worked as a reporter for KLAS Channel 8.
