The Chicago Tribune reported Stone Park Mayor Robert Natale was indicted, along with former Stone Park police lieutenant Thomas Tucker, former Franklin Park police officer Robert Urbinati and suspected mob leader Anthony Centracchio.
The indictments are the latest in a probe of an alleged gambling scheme in which hundreds of video machines were placed in more than 70 taverns, restaurants and social clubs. Investigators claim operators of the machines reaped millions of dollars and shared some of the money with police and public officials as protection payoffs, the Tribune reported.
