Letter: Gasoline boycott must be selective

Tuesday, May 4, 1999 | 7:58 a.m.

The people should instead pick two or more oil companies and just not buy their gas for an extended period of time. Watch how fast those companies drop their prices in order to keep customers from trying another company. We all need gas, but why buy from everyone.

Gas companies are among the greediest companies in American history. If our lawmakers refuse to help the working man, then we must help ourselves. Just don't buy say Mobil or Chevron and watch prices nosedive.
