Seminar set on future of keno

Monday, May 3, 1999 | 10:35 a.m.

The Casino Management Association and the Community College of Southern Nevada's Hospitality Institute are presenting a seminar Tuesday on the future of keno.

The speakers are Ron Heinz, director of keno at Fitzgerald's hotel-casino; and Vic Salerno, chief executive of American Wagering Inc.

Topics include the evolution of mega-keno progressive games; and ways to develop new players, more volume and faster games.

The speakers also will discuss whether decreasing keno profits are turning the game into an amenity.

The two-hour session is at 2 p.m. in Room 1217 of the Main Building at the Community College of Southern Nevada Cheyenne Campus.

Prices are $30 for CMA members and $60 for non-members. RSVP to Curt Thompson, 593-5477.
