7-year-old dies after accident

Monday, May 3, 1999 | 9:02 a.m.

Sarah Stone, a Libby Booth Elementary School student, died Wednesday at Washoe Medical Center, where she had been in a coma since the March 26 accident.

The girl was crossing a street in Sun Valley with a friend when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Perry Robinson, 30, of Sun Valley.

"She was just a very sweet, caring, beautiful little second-grader," Libby Booth Principal Rick McCormick said. "She was just a sweetheart."

The Washoe County Sheriff's Department is awaiting toxicology reports before turning over results of its accident investigation to the District Attorney's Office.
