Rule arson in recent construction site fire

The ruling was made Wednesday after Josie, a Clark County Fire Department dog, detected flammable liquids in the ruins of Sunday night's blaze.

"Josie found some possible evidence of flammable liquids so we're going to call it an arson fire," fire department spokesman Bob Leinbach said Wednesday.

Las Vegas and Clark County fire investigators say they're exploring the similarities in a series of arson fires that have hit the area.

Leinbach said it was too early to determine if Sunday's blaze was linked to previous fires at construction projects, including one Friday night that damaged 14 homes under construction.
