Ralph Earle Anderson, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 4, 1920, in Newark, N.J. A resident for six years, he was a director of purchasing for cosmetics.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; three sons, Ross Anderson of Stillwater, Minn., Terry Anderson of Shoreview, Minn., and Drake Anderson of Edina, Minn.; one daughter, Linda Anderson of Coon Rapids, Minn.; one sister, Shirley Willard of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Neptune Society of Nevada, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Building 5, is handling arrangements.
Zaccheus Camp Anderson
Zaccheus Camp Anderson, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local convalescent center. He was born May 4, 1920, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 4 1/2 years, he was a retired branch manager for a Florida electric utility, an Air Force veteran and a 1943 West Point graduate.
He is survived by his wife, Tatiana; one son, Zaccheus C. Richardson Jr. of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.

Joseph M. Ballistrea Sr.
Joseph M. Ballistrea Sr., 73, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired aerospace planning engineer and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly; one daughter, Linda Singer of Las Vegas; one son, Joseph Ballistrea Jr. of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; two sisters, Marie Wagner and Jenny Memmo, and three brothers, Anthony Ballistrea, Stephen Ballistrea and Alexander Ballistrea, all of Buffalo; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Desta Louise Becker
Desta Louise Becker, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 28, 1926, in New York. A resident for 5 1/2 years, she was a food server.
She is survived by three daughters, Dawn Andrews and Cynthia Vertalino, both of New York, and Claudia Fletcho of Las Vegas; one sister, Lois Martin of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. A burial will be private.
Thomas B. Boles
Thomas B. Boles, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 28, 1917, in California. A resident for 35 years, he was a salesman of industrial tools, a World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran, a member of Vacaville, Calif., Masons and won the Silver Beaver Award in the Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances; one son, Timothy Boles of Colorado; one brother, Fredrick Boles of Las Vegas; one sister, Jerry Pedersen of Pahrump; and two grandchildren.

Ollie M. Cartwright
Ollie M. Cartwright, 57, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 29, 1941, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 47 years, she was a retired hotel front desk clerk, a missionary, Sunday school teacher, member of the Prayer Warriors and former choir member and usher at the Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church and a member of Teamsters Local 995.
She is survived by her husband, Henry; her mother, Rosie Hawkins, one daughter, Pamela Greene, two sons, Donald Campbell and Lonnie Campbell, four sisters, Essie Walker, Bessie Coffield Verlie Ross and Vera Coby, and two brothers, Clarence Hawkins and Willie James Hawkins; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. today in the Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Services will be noon Thursday in Greater Evergreen Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Daisy L. Coleon
Daisy L. Coleon, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Waimea, Hawaii. A resident for 5 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Vicente; four daughters, Geraldine Engano and Priscilla Hendrix, both of Sacramento, Lynette Figueras of Los Angeles and Jacklynne Dombrigues of Las Vegas; three sons, Leo Kozlowski and Nicholas Kozlowski, both of Honolulu, and Vincent Coleon of Las Vegas; one sister, Rebecca Mamauag, and one brother, David Lanakila, both of Honolulu; 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Joel Cossneer
Joel Cossneer, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 16, 1934, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired Navy E-6 and Vietnam War veteran, a member of American Legion Post 8, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; two daughters, Alice Conrad of Greenville, N.C., and Jodie Hofbauer of Las Vegas; one brother, Daniel Glaze of Vallejo, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Robert Delany Duckett, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 16, 1921, in Philadelphia. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired funeral director, an Army veteran and a deacon at the Second Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Wendell Gilmore of Sewell, N.J., and Robert D. Duckett Jr. of Philadelphia; one stepson, Cecil D. Simon Jr. of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Shirley Dickens of Las Vegas and Yvonne S. Arthur of North Las Vegas; one goddaughter, Briana of Las Vegas; one brother, Herbert Duckett of Camden, N.J.; one sister, Louise Gardner of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Billy D. English
Billy D. English, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Stroud, Okla. A resident for 26 years, he was a retire drywall finisher, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the National Rifle Association and Painters Local 159.
He is survived by his wife, Annie; four daughters, Mary Ann McCulloch, Delores Diane English and Debra Lee Barlow, all of Las Vegas, and Donna Marie Williams of Little Rock, Ark.; one son, Billy Joe English of Las Vegas; three sisters, Opal Due and Francis Smith, both of Spavinaw, Okla., and Dee Medford of Tulsa, Okla.; three brothers, Tom Shelton of Kansas, Floyd Shelton of Texas and Jim Shelton of Spavinaw; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Stewart F. Goldberg
Stewart F. Goldberg, 53, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 13, 1945, in New York. A resident for eight years, he was a bank security guard.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his father, Samuel Goldberg of Arizona; and two sisters, Lenore Merems and Marlene Wilson, both of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Miriam Golin
Miriam Golin, 77, of Torrance, Calif., died Thursday in Torrance. She was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a homemaker, a member of B'nai B'rith and past matron of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Tobi Quintiliani of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; one brother, Henry Klein of Lake Worth, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to 10 a.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Otis Odell Green
Otis Odell Green, 90, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 3, 1908, in New Brocton, Ala. A resident for more than 30 years, he was a retired dairy farmer.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Elda Mae; one son, Don Richard Green of Murrieta, Calif.; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Marjorie Jean Guirl
Marjorie Jean Guirl, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 1, 1925, in Bryan, Ohio. A resident for seven years, she was a retired purchasing agent for a machine manufacturing company.
She is survived by one daughter, Marjorie Salomonson of Las Vegas; one son, John Guirl Jr. of Milwaukee; three brothers, Paul Thompson of Florida, Robert Thompson of California and Olaf Thompson Jr. of Ohio; four sisters, Sherry Adeline, Terry Gaushas and Tony Lemond, all of Michigan, and Helen Belcher of Ohio; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

L. John 'Longjohn' Heenan
L. John 'Longjohn' Heenan, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1920, in Pontiac, Mich. A resident for 42 years, he was a police officer, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Masons for more than 50 years and a member of the Senior Golf Club.
He is survived by three daughters, Karen Rankin and Margaret Mahler, both of Las Vegas, and Patricia Shields of Idaho; two sons, John Heenan and Michael Heenan, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Shirley Heenan of Florida and Katy Southern of Fallon; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 El Camino Road. Entombment will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

Dorothy J. Holman, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 2, 1930, in Mechanic Falls, Maine. A resident for 68 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James; three daughters, Donna Blea of Truth or Consequences, N.M., Theresa Tapia of Albuquerque, N.M., and Joyce Fahl of Las Vegas; two sons, Bill Holman and John Holman, both of Truth or Consequences; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Herbert I. Kane, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 26, 1926, in Connecticut. A resident for six years, he was a security guard and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Jacob Kane of Las Vegas and Philip Kane of Seattle; one daughter, Lauren Trader of New Mexico; two sisters, Renee Backer of Las Vegas and Roslyn Firedman; and three grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Alicia Renee Murillo, one son, Daniel Murillo, and her mother, Marilyn Goodwin, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Cheryl Robinson and Michelle Goodwin, both of Las Vegas; and her father, Dana Goodwin of Burlington, Iowa.

William Rider, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. He was born Sept. 12, 1913, in Ohio. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired business manager at a resort and a World War II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by one niece, Carolyn Moss of Castleton, N.Y.; and numerous friends.

William Addison Riedel, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. A retired cabinetmaker and Army veteran, he was born April 4, 1926, in Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger; five children, Kathy and Robert, both of Orlando, Fla., and Elana Riedel, Scott Warren and Eden Yocum, all of California; and five grandchildren.

James Charles Roberts
James Charles Roberts, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for 22 years, he was a self-employed carpenter and a World War II veteran of the 101st Airborne.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter; one sister, Loretta Roden of Florida; and two grandchildren.

John Edward Scanlon, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 27, 1917, in Chicago. A resident for two months, he retired after 60 years as a tool and die maker, was an Army veteran, a member of the Gold Prospectors Association and the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by four sons, John Eugene Scanlon of Colorado, Robert Donald Scanlon of Carson City, William James Scanlon of Charleston, Ore., and Michael Edward Scanlon of Grants Pass, Ore.; two daughters, Patricia Ann Irons of Kingman, Ariz., and Kathleen Marie Joseph of Las Vegas; two brothers, Thomas Scanlon of Kingman and William James Scanlon of Crystal Lake, Ill.; one sister, Doris McQuig of Fredricksberg, Va.; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He is survived by one daughter, Judy Helmbolt of Henderson; two sons, Burt Skinner of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jimmy Skinner of Henderson; two sisters, Maxine Toles and Betty Thiessen, both of Ely; three brothers, Jack "Bud" Skinner of Kearns, Utah, Gene Skinner of Baker and Clarence "Tiny" Skinner of Port Angeles, Wash.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
