Richard Karl Arendsen, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Florida. A resident for 26 years, he was a casino cashier, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Geezers Windsurfing Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Samantha Arendsen and Heather Baker, both of Las Vegas.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Ina Lopez AscencioIna Lopez Ascencio, 84, of Las Vegas died March 21 in Las Vegas. She was born July 20, 1914, in Colton, Calif. A resident for 15 months, she was a homemaker and retired at 70 from the San Jose, Calif., Parks and Recreation Department as an arts and crafts employee.

She is survived by one daughter, Drucilla Gallego of Las Vegas; one son, Salvador Ascencio of Sunnyvale, Calif.; one sister, Elsie Robledo of Colton; 22 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and five great-great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be private. Burial will be in Modesto, Calif. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Febrian A. Baulisch

Febrian A. Baulisch, 6 days, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 20, 1999, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Andriyani of Henderson; and his grandparents, JoAnn Baulisch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Cholik Ahmad Sujono and Sujana of Jakarta, Indonesia.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Patricia Ann Corby

Patricia Ann Corby, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 19, 1930, in Fort Myers, Fla. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired retail grocery saleswoman.

She is survived by her husband, John A.; two sons, Martin J. Corby of Concord, Calif., and Gregory F. Corby of Santa Rosa, Calif.; three daughters, Marjorie A. Andres of San Leandro, Calif., Lenore A. Frega of Las Vegas and Stephanie E. Barone of Galt, Calif.; four sisters, Lucille Payne, Carolin McGowen and Janet Bryan, all of Denver, and Betty Layne of Golden, Colo.; one brother, Richard Sherouse of Denver; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Edward Crisp

Edward Crisp, 32, of Henderson died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 6, 1966, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a welder at Timet, a Navy veteran and a member of Steelworkers Union Local 4856.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; one son, Edward Jr., and one daughter, Courtney, both of Henderson; his parents, Jay and Jacqueline Farless of Las Vegas; one brother, Jewell III; two sisters, Shirley and Susan; and his grandmother, Catherine Patton of Salem Ore.

The family will be receiving guests one hour prior to an 11 a.m. memorial service Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Theresa B. Deming

Theresa B. Deming, 78, of Becket, Mass., died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1920, in New York City. A Las Vegas snowbird for 11 years, she was a retired New England restaurateur of 50 years and a graduate of the Juilliard School of Music -- accomplished in mandolin and violin.

She is survived by one daughter, Rosemarie Bongiovanni of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Regina I. Frasca of Boston and Leanor Toomey of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Louis Gelman

Louis Gelman, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 8, 1918, in New York. A resident for 13 years, he was an accountant/ bookkeeper and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Berkowitz of Michigan.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Michigan. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Bob Kitlen

Bob Kitlen, 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 24, 1939, in Portland, Ore. A resident for five years, he was an apartment complex security officer.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; one son, Richard Dunn of Spokane, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Darlene 'Muffie' Kneisly

Darlene "Muffie" Kneisly, 71, of Boulder City died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born June 6, 1927, in Momence, Ill. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired singer/entertainer.

She is survived by two daughters, Robin Peddieson of Woodridge, Ill., and Renee Luse of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three sons, Michael Petro of Bloomington, Ill., Timothy Petro of Broken Arrow and Jeffrey Petro of Henderson; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Flavio Patino Jr.

Flavio Patino Jr., 54, of Las Vegas died March 7 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 30, 1944, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired surveyor, taught surveying for 15 years at Community College of Southern Nevada, a member of the Teamsters Union, the Elks in Alhambra, Calif., and a longtime Boy Scout leader in Alhambra.

He is survived by his wife, Johann Waldene Patino; three sisters, Mary A. Patino of Monterey Park, Calif., J. Edna Marshall of San Angelo, Texas, and Leticia Buck of El Paso; and two brothers, Mario B. Patino of El Paso and Alejandro Patino of Albuquerque, N.M.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Dian L. Paynes

Dian L. Paynes, 58, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1941, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for 20 years, she was a care giver.

She is survived by four sons, Gregory Mason and Tommy Mason, both of Las Vegas, Tony Mason of Nashville, Ga., and Jimmy Mason of Carson City; two daughters, Niesha Beard of Las Vegas and Dora Miller of Lakewood, Calif.; one brother, Denzel Rubin of Los Angeles; and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. April 5 in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

John 'Pappy' Rexroad

John "Pappy" Rexroad, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Chautauqua, Kan. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired Metro Police officer, past patron of the Eastern Star, past master of the Masonic Lodge, a charter member of the Shrine Club of Las Vegas, a member of Scottish Rite and AF&AM Malpais 71.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; three daughters, Linda Reed of Las Vegas, Sue Rocker of Fraser, Mich., and Tammanika Coronado of Wellington, Colo.; two sons, Steve Rexroad of Prineville, Ore., and Jimmy Rexroad of Houston; one sister, Frieda Warren of Sedan, Kan.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd.

Tommie L. Savage

Tommie L. Savage, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Wildsville, La. A resident for 39 years, he was a hotel kitchen worker and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Dunbar of Alexandria, La., and Tammy Croom of North Las Vegas; one son, Tommie Jones, and one brother, Julius Savage, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Molly Woods and Vera Savage, both of Wildsville, and Thelma Mills and Elnora Williams, both of Seattle; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Morton Shinbrood

Morton Shinbrood, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 25, 1922, in Ladue, Mo. A resident for 17 years, he was an adult education teacher at Temple Beth Sholom and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two sons, Marc Shinbrood of Vienna, Va., and Joel Shinbrood of Palatine, Ill.; and one grandchild.

Burial will be in Chicago. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Charles S. Throgmorton

Charles S. Throgmorton, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 16, 1931, in Mount Vernon, Ill. A resident for nine years, he was a retired real estate developer.

He is survived by two sons, Todd Throgmorton and Adam Throgmorton, and one sister, Shirley Brown, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Mary Eileen Warwick, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 9, 1921, in Ireland. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker and a veteran of the Royal Air Force.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley; and one son, Jeff Warwick of Las Vegas.

James Oscar Wike

James Oscar Wike, 97, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 22, 1901, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired mining property broker, a World War II Army veteran and a 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; one son, Jimmy Wike of Henderson; two daughters, Carol Williamson and Shelley Cranley, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lillian Cora Wilkinson

Lillian Cora Wilkinson, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 1, 1938, in Camden, N.J. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence F.; two daughters, Joann Woodman and Janet Niemann, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Muriel Faye Wood

Muriel Faye Wood, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 20, 1923, in Kansas. A resident for six months, she was a vacuum company entrepreneur.

She is survived by her husband, John; three daughters, Sherry Tobin of St. Louis, Jackie Wagner of Colorado and Rhea Taylor of Grand Junction, Colo.; one brother, Richard Mog of Grand Junction; and eight grandchildren.

Kathrin Zimmermann

Kathrin Zimmermann, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. A resident for 15 years, she was born Jan. 6, 1939, in Landsburg, Germany.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine Lysinger of Kansas City, Kan., and Virginia Bledsoe of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, Edward Neumann of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Uliman Bork and Peter Bork, both of Germany; and four grandchildren.

Eva Zollotuchen, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 27, 1917, in Sioux City, Iowa. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ben; one daughter, Sharron Levey of Los Angeles; one son, Arlen Zollotuchen of Las Vegas; one brother, Max Ivener of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
