Two dead of gunshot wounds in Winnemucca
Friday, March 26, 1999 | 1:56 a.m.
Officers were called to the residence in the Carriage Court mobile home park around 7 a.m.
The bodies were found by a co-worker who went to check on the residents when one of them failed to show up for work, Police Chief Don Wright said.
The victims were found in a bedroom. Their names were withheld pending notification of relatives.
"Given the evidence we have at this time, we're unable to determine the scenario that caused their death," Wright said, adding that the case is being treated as a double homicide.
Forensic experts with the Washoe County Crime Lab were assisting in the investigation, Wright said.
