NDOT worker killed in accident in Ely
Thursday, March 25, 1999 | 8:02 a.m.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said Anthony Robert Thompson, 54, of Ruth, was crushed Wednesday when an International dump truck he was working on rolled over him at the NDOT yard.
Another employee, Robert Gene Broderson, 34, of McGill, was in the cab of the truck at the time of the accident, the patrol said. Broderson was not hurt.
Investigators said Thompson was apparently working beneath the truck when there was either a mechanical failure or a miscommunication between the two workers.
