Clinton cancels Vegas trip

President Clinton has canceled his trip to Las Vegas Thursday amid the escalating crisis in Kosovo.

White House spokeswoman Elizabeth Newman said from Washington that the president wanted to remain in the nation's capital as NATO launched air strikes against Yugoslavia.

Clinton had planned on coming to Vegas to raise money for the Democratic National Committee.
