The UNLV women's tennis team lost its ninth consecutive match, 5-1, to San Diego at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Sunday. The Lady Rebels fell to 3-9 while the Toreros won their fifth straight to improve to 10-6. UNLV's top player, Katarina Malec, sat out the match but her replacement, Susie Kocsis, pushed the nation's top-ranked player Zuzana Lesenarova at the No. 1 singles spot, 7-6, 6-2. Winning for the Lady Rebels was Veronica Goude, 6-2, 6-3, over Katarina Valkyova at the second position. The Lady Rebels host fifth-ranked Stanford Thursday at 2 p.m. in what will be the Cardinal's first-ever trip to Las Vegas.
