Rebels hammer Northridge

Joe Maruffi held Cal State-Northridge to three hits and an unearned run as the UNLV baseball team routed the Matadors 12-1 Sunday in the Aggie Continental Classic at Texas Station, Texas. Maruffi stuck out five and walked six batters in raising his season record to 3-0.
Chris Gillette, Eliott Sarabia, Chris Adolph, Ryan Ludwick, Ryan Hamill and Matt Stoner paced the Rebels' 18-hit attack. Gillette went 4-for-4, Sarabia and had three hits and two RBIs and Adolph, Ludwick, Hamill and Stoner contributed two hits each. UNLV is 3-1 in the round-robin tournament and has a 14-16 season record.
