Ruth L. Chase, 85, of Upland, Calif., died Tuesday in Upland. She was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Nebraska. A former Las Vegas and Henderson resident for 34 years, she was a retired waitress.
She is survived by five sons, Jerry Bouchey of Hesperia, Calif., Michael L. Bouchey of Ontario, Calif., Robert Bouchey of Oklahoma, Russell Chase of DeSoto, Texas, and Bruce Chase of Englewood, Colo.; one daughter, Kathleen Barbian of Las Vegas; one sister, Helen Swisher of Seneca, Kan.; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
Viola Jones
Viola Jones, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A resident for two years, she was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Mississippi.
She is survived by one son, James Lancaster of Las Vegas; two brothers, Sampson Jones of Galveston, Texas, and Aaron Jones of Mississippi; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled noon-2 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Harrison-Ross. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Patricia Bowman Kaye
Patricia Bowman Kaye, 90, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1908, in Washington, D.C. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired professional dancer.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Donations are suggested to the Nevada Ballet Theater.
Alvin B. King
Alvin B. King, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1919, in St. Louis. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired salesman of radio and TV advertising and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one sister, Annabelle Richards of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.
No local services are scheduled. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1900 E. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Crystal L. Ledesma
Crystal L. Ledesma, 24, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 29, 1974, in the Philippines. A resident for eight years, she was a retail sales associate.
She is survived by one son, Keoni Lee Ledesma-Benito; her mother, Maria Cogburn; and one brother, Michael D. Cogburn.
Visitation was scheduled 2-5 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Angelica Guadalupe Martinez
Angelica Guadalupe Martinez, 1 1/2 months, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 26, 1999, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her parents, Alejandro and Ramona Martinez, one sister, Paula Jasmine Martinez, one brother, Terry Ryan Luna, and her grandparents, Lalu and Modesto Luna and Arnulfo and Paula Martinez, all of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
John J. McGuire
John J. McGuire, 85, of Fountain Hills, Ariz., died Friday in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was born Sept. 15, 1913, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A Las Vegas resident for 24 years until 1992, he was a retired grocery warehouse supervisor and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Marian; two daughters, Patricia Kirby and Lorraine Gerber, both of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, JoAnn Myles of Fountain Hills; one stepson, Don Marino of Scottsdale; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 11:15 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Joyce Inez McMahon
Joyce Inez McMahon, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 30, 1930, in Memphis, Tenn. A resident for one year, she was a retired retail manager.
She is survived by three sons, Quentin Smith of Bakersfield, Calif., Russell D. Miles of Sacramento and Thomas D. Miles of LaPlata, Md.; three daughters, Linda K. Llewellyn of Benicia, Calif., and Cindy Knew and Bev Rowe, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Billie Henry of Henrietta, Okla., and Dee Brockman of Tampa, Fla.; 13 grandcildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Patricia Ann Rowe
Patricia Ann Rowe, 66, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born May 29, 1932, in Spokane, Wash. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Tom; two sons, Ron Rowe of Henderson and Mark Rowe of Richland, Wash.; one daughter, Jan Rowe-Bennett of Henderson; one brother, Jack Lindberg of Napa Valley, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Roy William Varian
Roy William Varian, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 12, 1933, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired bartender and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; two sons, Roy Varian and Daniel Varian, one daughter, Diane Marchese, and one sister, Maryann Thomas, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 3 p.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
