Tony Santo, president of the Reno Hilton, also has been named to oversee the Flamingo Hilton in downtown Reno beginning April 1.
The move is part of a management consolidation plan implemented by Park Place Entertainment Inc., the resorts' parent company that was spun off last year from Hilton Hotels Corp.
Andy Asselin, who has been at the helm of the 604-room Flamingo since 1997, is leaving the company after 15 years.
Santo has run the 2,001-room Reno Hilton since 1997.
The move marks the third major management change at a downtown Reno resort since February, when Boomtown chief Phil Bryan replaced William McHugh as president and chief executive officer of Club Cal-Neva.
Earlier this month, Jim Rogers announced his resignation as senior vice president and general manager of Harrah's Reno. He'll be replaced by Harrah's Tahoe executive Steve Yarrow.
