Florence Busa, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 4, 1929, in New York. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New York. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Mary Efstathiou
Mary Efstathiou, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 14, 1931, in Carteret, N.J. A resident for eight years, she was a retired seamstress.
She is survived by one son, Tom Efstathiou, and one daughter, Helen Byrne, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 El Camino Road.
Alma Irene Gibson
Alma Irene Gibson, 89, of Ellis, Kan., died Friday in Ellis. She was born June 10, 1909, in Ellis. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a homemaker, past president of the Union Pacific Oldtimers Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Irene Huff of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Nelson of Ellis; one sister, Hattie Ingram of Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Good Samaritan Center, Ellis, Kan.
Frank M. Kish
Frank M. Kish, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1911, in South Bend, Ind. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired hotel owner.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Joan M. Kish of El Cajon, Calif.; one son, John C. Kish of Henderson; one brother, Joseph Elmer Kish of Terre Haute, Ind.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in South Bend. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the John C. Kish Building at the Boys and Girls Club in Henderson.
Nathaniel G. Lacy
Nathaniel G. Lacy, 58, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 10, 1941, in Kanawha County, W.Va. A resident for six months, he was a laborer.
He is survived by one son, Dwayne Lacy; three daughters, Delores Lacy, Darlene Lacy and Inez Lacy; his mother, Susie Hargrove; two sisters, Audrey Harper and Juanita Patterson; two brothers, Charles Lacy and David Austin; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Full Gospel Temple, 817 Carey Ave., North Las Vegas. A private burial will follow.
Harry V. Leonard Jr.
Harry V. Leonard Jr., 89, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1909, in Anderson, Ind. A resident for 53 years, he was a retired Municipal Court bailiff, a World War II Army veteran, past grand master of the Grand Lodge of Nevada Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Artesia Lodge 43, past commander of American Legion Post 55, member of Gateway Encampment 23 and Patriarch Militant Lake Mead Canton 2.
He is survived by his wife, Helen I.; one daughter, Karen McDonald of Las Vegas; two sons, Richard Leonard of Bethesda, Md., and Randy Leonard of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Sophie Margolis
Sophie Margolis, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 10, 1910, in Washington, D.C. A resident for many years, she was a bookkeeper for a retailer.
She is survived by her husband, Harold.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Pittsburgh. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Jay L. Naglich
Jay L. Naglich, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Heber, Utah. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired Nevada Power painter for 23 years, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Airline Pilots Association.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; three daughters, Lanette Michlig of Boulder City, Nickie Kohlenberg of Grand Junction, Colo., and Jalynn Wade of Las Vegas; four sons, Stephen Naglich and Gregory Naglich, both of Las Vegas, Rick Salyer of Indianapolis and Steven Salyer of Dayton, Ohio; his mother, Helen Cohn of Las Vegas; one sister, Helen Carroll of Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
The family suggests donations to the Desert Sage LDS Building Fund.
John Henry Ochoa
John Henry Ochoa, 52, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1947, in Antioch, Calif. A resident for three years, he was a laborer and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by one son, Adam Jess Ochoa of Fresno, Calif.; his mother, Rose Crutchfield of Sun City, Calif.; and two brothers, Raymond Ochoa of Las Vegas and Gary Ochoa of Missouri.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Ben Peter Perlove
Ben Peter Perlove, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1915, in Michigan. A resident for many years, he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Michigan. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Aleze 'Lee' Weeks
Aleze 'Lee' Weeks, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Haskell, Ark. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired owner-operator of a beauty shop.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Shari Pippin of Cornville, Ariz., and Karen Samuel of Rialto, Calif.; one son, Greg Brough of Hemet, Calif.; one sister, Maxine Vandergrif of Benton, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
The family suggests donations to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
