Kenneth Lee Bird, 59, of Las Vegas and Pahrump died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1939, in South Dakota. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired firefighter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Rudd-Bird of Pahrump; two daughters, Leeann Salamy of Elk Grove, Calif., and Kendal Sue Adams of Henderson; two sisters, Carolyn Christensen of Silver Spring, Md., and Susan Lynn of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will be private.

The family suggests donations to the Building Fund at Living Waters Bible Church in Pahrump.

Madelynne E. Brown

Madelynne E. Brown, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 24, 1936, in South Bend, Ind. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired judicial secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Jay E.; one son, Steven J. Brown of Indianapolis; one daughter, Tammy L. Bruce of Las Vegas; two brothers, James E. Dorn of Denton, Texas, and Michael E. Dorn of Coppell, Texas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Elks Lodge 1468, 4100 W. Charleston Blvd. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Anne M. Devaney

Anne M. Devaney, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 29, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for five years, she was an office manager, past president and office manager of University Crest Homeowners Association and did volunteer work.

She is survived by her husband, William; one daughter, Lynn Stephens of Burbank, Calif.; one son, Joseph Stephens of Orange, Calif.; one brother, John Carey of Palo Alto, Calif; one sister, Lorraine Martin of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Lucille 'Peggy' DresnerLucille "Peggy" Dresner, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local health care center. She was born Dec. 11, 1911, in Beaver Dam, Wis. A resident for 19 years, she was a retired insurance secretary.

She is survived by one sister, Orpha Schoenfeld of Las Vegas.

Rosella Tobler Elliker

Rosella Tobler Elliker, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 30, 1905, in Washington, Utah. A resident for eight years, she was a retired elementary school teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Gillins of Las Vegas; one son, Shirl Elliker of Reno; one sister, Doris Webb of St. George, Utah; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Friday in the Relief Society Room of Panaca's LDS chapel. Burial will be in Panaca Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

William Steven Gademan

William Steven Gademan, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 3, 1939, in Coney Island, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, he was a self-employed mover for Capitol North American Van Lines, an Air Force veteran and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one son, William S. Gademan Jr. of Florida; one daughter, Elizabeth Gademan of New York; one sister, Dianne Bauer of South Carolina; three nephews, Frank Bauer, Richard Bauer and Scott Bauer, all of New York; and one grandson.

Richard David Greene

Richard David Greene, 54, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 11, 1944, in Bradford, Ontario. A resident for three years, he was a member of American Vets of Chicago Post 47.

He is survived by his wife, Jo A.; two sons, David E. Greene and William Willett, and one daughter, Francesca Greene, all of Chicago; his mother, Virginia LaForme of Buffalo, N.Y.; and one brother, Eldon Greene of Hamburg, N.Y.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Lee Hall

Lee Hall, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 2, 1924, in New York. A resident for 44 years, she was a hotel food server.

She is survived by four daughters, Jerrilyn Karwacki, Mary M. Rodriguez, Barbara Cleary and Susan Walton, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Frances Schrader of Albuquerque, N.M. six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.

Oliver Harris Jr.

Oliver Harris Jr., 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 31, 1931, in Ferriday, La. A resident for 63 years, he was a hotel bellman and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rosie; four daughters, Sandra J. Harris and Mary Prince, both of Las Vegas, Lettie Williams of Texas and Muriel DeButts of Laughlin; one son, Eskin Edwards of Louisiana; and one brother, Wilbert Harris of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be noon Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services. A private burial will follow.

Helen V. 'Superstar' Jackson-Cooper

Helen V. "Superstar" Jackson-Cooper, 40, of Las Vegas died Feb. 16 in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 16, 1958, in San Bernardino, Calif. A resident for 30 years, she was disabled.

She is survived by three daughters, Tammy Jackson, Trisha Cooper and Helen Jackson, and her mother, Eliza Jackson, all of Las Vegas; nine sisters, Valerie Jackson, Eliza Rone, Margaret Booker, Sherry Dotson and Norisse Rone, all of Las Vegas, Ruby Johnson and Peggy Gross, both of San Bernardino, Thelma Solomon of Pomona, Calif., and Hattie Shepherd of Rialto, Calif.; and seven brothers, Robert Jackson, Luther Jackson, Charlie Jackson and Plaz Booker, all of Las Vegas, James Scott of Oregon, Gene Jackson of San Bernardino and Reggie Jackson of Los Angeles.

Therece Marie Kivett

Therece Marie Kivett, 50, of Reno died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 19, 1948, in Las Vegas. A Las Vegas resident until 13 years ago, she was a keno writer.

She is survived by one daughter, Cora Stanley, and one son, Aaron Stanley, both of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; four brothers, Robert Crawford of Idaho, Michael Crawford of Oregon and Clae Crawford and Rodney Crawford, both of Henderson; one sister, Vicky Crawford of California; and three grandchildren.

Thomas Myers Kuller

Thomas Myers Kuller, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Rhode Island. A resident for 18 years, he was retired from the Air Force and a World War II veteran of China, Burma and India.

He is survived by three sons, Dennis Kuller, Timothy Kuller and Daniel Kuller, all of Arizona; three daughters, Theresa Lange and Sheila Kuller, both of Las Vegas, and Cynthia Kuller Synnott of Arizona; and five grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Eva O. McGarvey

Eva O. McGarvey, 62, of Boulder City died Monday in Boulder City. She was born April 11, 1936, in Independence, Kan. A resident for 19 years, she was a retired personal secretary for a printing company, former co-owner of Boulder Images, past president of the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce and Boulder City Soroptomists, treasurer of the Boulder City Damboree Inc. and member of the Business and Professional Women's Organization.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell L.; two daughters, Vicki Lamp'l of Montgomery, Ala., and Trudi Nix of Boulder City; two sisters, Helen Newman of Independence and Gloria Whiteside of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, L. Dale Cornett of Independence; and four grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Edward F. McLarney

Edward F. McLarney, 70, of Las Vegas and Ocean Park, Wash., died Friday in Ocean Park. He was born May 7, 1928, in Homer City, Pa. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired floorman, an avid bowler, sailor, golfer and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Laveeda Dederichs of Ocean Park; one daughter, Maria Cook of Gilbert, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Pearl C. Miller

Pearl C. Miller, 101, of Las Vegas died Monday in Reno. She was born June 4, 1897, in Colorado. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Dean Miller Jr. of Reno; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 9 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Alexander George Ode

Alexander George Ode, 95, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1903, in Elmore, Ohio. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired automotive foreman and a member of the Retired United Auto Workers.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Luann Galik and Barbara Roth, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday and noon until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Stephen J. Olechowski

Stephen J. Olechowski, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1913, in Chicago. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired city government electrical inspector.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; three daughters, Barbara Kaufman of Las Vegas, Teresa Murphy of Palatine, Ill., and Betty Olechowski of Geneva, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Creighton John Overmoen

Creighton John Overmoen, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 6, 1926, in Parshall, N.D. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran, a business manager for the Indian Springs State Revenue Office and a member of the Republicans Men's Club.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Jay Overmoen of Las Vegas and Scott Overmoen of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; four daughters, Lea Ann Overmoen, Nancy Quinones and Carrie Woodard, all of Las Vegas, and Angie West of Henderson; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Annette Paul

Annette Paul, 77, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 19, 1921, in Prosperity, Mo. A resident for 55 years, she was a hotel waitress.

She is survived by her companion, Fred Weatherby of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Mark Robbins of Mead, Wash., and Miles Paul of Junction City, Ore.; and one sister, Etta Kimmel of San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

David Emerson Reindollar

David Emerson Reindollar, 51, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 4, 1947, in Gettysburg, Pa. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired systems coordinator for EG&G special projects and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Eric Reindollar of Las Vegas; one daughter, LaDonna Forkey of Vallejo, Calif.; two brothers, Wayne Reindollar and Larry Reindollar, both of Hanover, Pa.; two sisters, Darlene Strausbaugh of East Berlin, Pa., and Dorcas Williams of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

Wilber Rodriguez

Wilber Rodriguez, 19, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1979, in El Salvador. A resident for 10 years, he was a hotel house person.

He is survived by his parents, Maria and Ernesto Moncayo, and three sisters, Mercy Ortiz, Norma Martinez and Ivette Martinez, all of Las Vegas.

James Sissel

James Sissel, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 18, 1937, in Santa Ana, Calif. A resident for six years, he was a painting contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; two sons, Brian Sissel and John G. Sissel, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Tennah Watters of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Debbie Garrison of Garden Grove, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Kenneth D. Stoker

Kenneth D. Stoker, 68, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 4, 1930, in Junction, Utah. A resident for 45 years, he retired from Timet as a console operator after 44 years and was a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Leila D.; one son, Kevin L. Stoker of Oceanside, Calif.; one daughter, Elizabeth A. Philpott of Panguitch, Utah; two sisters, Leona Grover of Rexburg, Idaho, and Linda Barney of West Valley City, Utah; one brother, Roger Stoker of Richfield, Utah; and five grandchildren.

Connie Thomas, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1907, in Marshall, Texas. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired day worker in private homes.

She is survived by one son, Honor B. Jackson of Las Vegas; one stepson, Arthur Garrett of Kansas City, Mo.; and one sister, Ruby Amie Pilot, and one niece, Mary Shelton, both of Las Vegas.

Frances Anna Pausina Vodopija, 91, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born March 12, 1907, in New Orleans. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Florine Picardo of Edmonds, Wash.; one sister, Mary Snodgrass of Louisiana; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Pearlis Leon Washington, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 28, 1929, in Monticello, Ark. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired Air Force chief master sergeant and a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; one son, Perel L. Washington of Las Vegas; three daughters, Carna S. Washington and Maythinee A. Washington, both of Las Vegas, and Sandra Washington of Elfrida, Ariz.; and one sister, Lucile Smith of Dayton, Ohio.
