Letter: Senator has gone too far in his war against alcohol

Now, a decade later, he flies off his rocker after the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms approved statements that there may be some benefits to drinking in moderation. To stoke his ire he wants to double federal taxes on wine, etc.
Considering the fact that he is almost a centenarian, I take his rage with a spoon of salt and a shot of sour mash with a dash of Tabasco to soothe my Southern comfort.
It's not often that I agree with the ATF. Maybe it is time for Strom to retire before he goes over the edge!
